com_ The feed truck driver is responsible for loading and delivering bulk feed from Idlenot Farms feed mill to hog production sites.
The truck driver will also be hauling a hopper bottom trailer to pick up ingredients for delivery to Idlenot Farms feedmill.
Ability to safely operate a tractor trailer in various weather conditions is critical to be successful in this role.
The truck driver must have a Class A CDL with air brakes and combination vehicle endorsements or be able to obtain CDL within 60 days.
CDL training is available.
The feed truck driver is expected to represent Idlenot Farms at a professional level when interacting with all employees and independent contractors.
Responsibilities of Feed Truck Driver: * Safely and efficiently load and deliver feed to hog barns with respect to other drivers and weather conditions.
* Use a hopper bottom trailer to pickup and deliver ingredients to the feedmill.
Must be able to enter and clean out interior of hopper trailer * Maintain an awareness of the condition of the truck being operated and bring any issues that arise to the feed mill manager as soon as they are observed * Perform basic truck maintenance such as checking tire pressure, greasing, power washing exterior, and cleaning cab interior.
* Operate forklift to move bagged feed within feedmill * Assist in cleaning feedmill by sweeping and scooping * Assist in receiving bulk corn and other feed ingredients * able to climb a ladder * able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Applicant must be 21 years old and must either have a CDL or be able to obtain one within 60 days.
