Rural Carrier Associate

Responsibilities: - Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport mail and packages to rural areas - Load and unload mail and packages from the vehicle using a pallet jack or manual methods - Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of mail and packages - Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures when required - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns Skills: - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a commercial driving role - Ability to operate various types of vehicles, such as box trucks, tractor-trailers, or refrigerated trailers - Proficiency in driving vehicles with manual transmissions - Strong customer service skills to interact with customers in a professional manner - Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems - Physical stamina to handle the demands of loading and unloading mail and packages - Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
