Position Details:
- Operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck for both intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop assignments.
- Their primary objective is to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers safely and punctually, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deal with touch freight for proper loading and security.
- Verifies customer invoices, collects payments where necessary, and completes all associated paperwork accurately.
- Reports any safety issues promptly.
Adheres to DOT regulations and company driving policies, promptly reporting any safety hazards encountered.
- Records hours of service accurately and performs general housekeeping duties as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- 12 months of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL A license
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
- Successful completion of post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Possession of a valid current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain a new one
- Capability to manually lift and operate equipment to handle product cases/freight of varying weights (typically ranging from 10-35 pounds up to approximately 60-90 pounds) throughout the shift, including the use of a hand-lift, two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment as necessary.
