$50 - OBO This thing is built like a tank and weighs about the same.
I've used it for drum lessons and if it can survive students then it can survive anything.
Will it have you playing blast beats at +200 BPM? No.
Will it get you started on practicing double bass without breaking the bank? Yes.
I don't know why it has one wood and one plastic beater.
That's how it was setup when I acquired it and, since it worked, I didn't bother to change things.
