Job Title: *Quality Assurance Supervisor*
_*Brief Description of Duties:*_
This position will oversee and perform all aspects of the quality assurance functions across all levels of Valley Machining.
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will inspect and ensure all products are created to the highest quality and standards of the company and industry.
_*Duties and Knowledge:*_
* In depth knowledge of VMC processes including quality risks.
* Work cooperatively with all VMC employees, customers and suppliers.
* Maintaining VMC Quality Management System (QMS).
* Assists with creating a satisfactory working environment with other departments to perform quality inspections.
* Knowledge of materials used in the production process.
* Have experience and working understanding of the processes, prints, equipment, and technology in the area.
* Ensure Calibration of gages, receiving inspections, roving inspections, layouts and final inspection are carried out in a timely manner in support of VMC delivery schedules and in accordance with the QMS.
* Participation in Planning of Product Realization activities.
* Identifies the need for inspection and measuring equipment.
* Maintain applicable QA files/records.
* Coordinate annual internal audit program.
* Lead and participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations and responses.
* Manage Non Conforming / Hold area.
* Authority to stop any process not being run to specification.
* Internal contact for NAFTA and exporting documentation.
* Other duties as assigned.
_*Education and Experience: *_
* High School diploma, GED or equivalent
* 3+ years prior experience in a manufacturing setting
* Knowledgeable of Lean Manufacturing Practices preferred
* American Society for Quality CQA, CQE, or CMQ/OE Certification preferred
* Experience with ISO9001-2015 Quality Management System requirements and implementation
_*Skills:*_
* Expertise interpreting Engineering Drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) practices
* CAD experience preferred
* Must have organizational, administrative and leadership abilities.
* Possesses strong oral, writing and listening skills
* Effectively communicates and coordinates with all levels of the organization
* Interprets, analyzes, and applies a variety of manufacturing principles and prints
* Possesses a high level of detail with strong accuracy, math, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently as well as with others
* Effectively meets deadlines
* Possesses strong computer skills and understands basic programs and technology
* Possesses strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation

* Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment while following all
safety protocol
* Available for travel if needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.
00 - $65,000.
