Process Engineer

Description: Manufacturing process engineers work with all the elements involved in producing a particular product.
This involves overseeing the efficiency and safety of current manufacturing processes, as well as developing new processes to improve manufacturing efficiency, monitor and improve product quality, and decrease/manage product cost.
RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes in an electronics manufacturing and assembly facility.
Programming and operation of electronics manufacturing equipment, to include SMT and Thru-hole processes.
Define and perform corrective and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
Collect, record, and evaluate data to drive production improvements.
Identify, record, and investigate nonconformities, and advise on corrective actions.
Develop procedures and solutions to improve production efficiency and quality of output.
Create and maintain production documentation and work instructions in an ISO-9001 environment.
Share expertise and institutionalize learning to provide training to technical and management teams.

Requirements: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A BS degree in the field of Engineering such as Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of 5S / Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Experience with common hand tools and basic electrical/electronic test equipment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Business Central, etc.
).
· Project Management / Organizational Skills.
Excellent analytical and math skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to persuade others to change existing practices.
Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
Knowledge of process engineering software systems.
Desired Experience Familiarity with electronics manufacturing standards, such as IPC-610 as JEDEC J-STD-001.
Ability to solder and rework circuit boards with mixed SMT and Thru-Hole technology.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
Occasional lifting to 50 pounds, as needed, to move objects.
Dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse, tools and controls on office equipment.
Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend, climb, and reach.
