We have an opening for a mechanic! Come work for the (Best Fleets) top small carrier in North America! We are a family-oriented, well-respected trucking business in Sioux Falls.
You will help maintain our fleet of over 120 diesel semi trucks.
Here you’ll do preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and occasional large jobs on new, well-maintained equipment in a fun shop environment.

*Job Responsibilities:*
* Work with a team of well-respected mechanics who know how to get work done, and maintain a welcoming, fun, and professional culture.
* Complete basic preventative maintenance on semi-tractors including oil changes, grease jobs, brake repairs (including disc brakes), transmission diagnostics, engine diagnostics and repair.
* Have basic knowledge about commercial vehicle parts and their installation.
*Qualifications:*
* Basic mechanical aptitude (required)
* 1-2+ years of automotive or diesel repair experience (required)
* High school diploma or equivalent (required)
* Associate's degree or equivalent education in diesel technology (preferred)
* A valid driver's license is required (a CDL license or willingness and ability to obtain one with training is a plus)
* Ability to pass a job fit physical examination including standing or crouching for an extended period of time, lifting 50 lbs, and climbing and standing on a ladder/platform in addition to other regular job functions
* Basic computer skills
* Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
* Qualified candidates will have their own hand tools and toolbox.
Larger and speciality tools will be provided
* Ability to work safely and efficiently
* Complete all required reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
