Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team.
This position will perform tasks including inspection, diagnosis and repairs to various equipment including heavy construction equipment, trucks and trailers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Communicate with operator(s) regarding trouble issue
· Inspect/test drive equipment to evaluate issue
· Perform advanced diagnostics using available tools
· Determine plan of action to repair trouble issue
· Communicate part/equipment needs with immediate supervisor
· Make necessary repairs
· Inspect/test drive equipment to validate repair
· Qualified candidate must have own tools to meet requirements of the position
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Advanced knowledge of diesel-powered engine and powertrain systems
Working knowledge of electronic diagnostic tools
Excellent problem-solving skills
Keen attention to detail
Good work attendance is a must
Ability to work safely in a team environment
· Driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Education and Experience
Relevant technical school education preferred but not required.
Willing to train the right person.
Physical Requirements
Physically fit to perform the job functions including the ability to stand, squat, bend, lift and walk for long durations.
Must be able to lift up to 90 pounds at times.
