HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST - SIOUX FALLS, SD
We are searching for a skilled Human Resource Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will be in charge of overseeing all HR operations for our organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring 100% compliance with employment laws and regulations.
* Manage the annual HR budget and collaborate with senior leadership to identify HR priorities and develop plans to address them effectively.
* Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems
* Provide guidance and support to departmental managers on HR-related issues, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations.
* Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment and changes
* Support the recruitment team in the recruiting, selection, and onboarding process.
* Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new employees are integrated successfully into the organization.
* Work closely with departmental managers to identify training needs and identify appropriate programs.
* Monitor employee performance and provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews and addressing performance issues.
* Develop and implement retention strategies to foster employee engagement and reduce turnover.
* Foster effective communication channels to facilitate employee feedback and engagement.
* Manage the gathering and analysis of information through surveys, such as exit interviews, onboarding surveys, eNPS surveys, wellness surveys, etc.
* Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions, conduct investigations as necessary.
* Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
* Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
* Manage the benefit enrollment process for new hires and annual open enrollment processes, audit enrollments and communicate with carriers, ensure benefits billings are accurate.
* Administer and ensure compliance and paperwork completion on all leave administration.
* Complete annual compliance workforce certificates, renewals, reporting, etc.
*What you’ll need to be successful*
* Minimum of four years’ experience with complex organizational systems with a strong emphasis on Compliance/Policy, Attention to Detail, Benefits Management, Performance Management/Employee Relations, and People Strategy
* Experience assessing organizational needs and developing strategic solutions.
* Deep experience in employment laws, regulations, and best practices
* Proven ability to develop and implement HR programs and initiatives that drive organizational success.
* Relentless focus on attention to details and accuracy in all areas.
* Results-orientated with proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
* Strong ability to coach, mentor, and direct others; demonstrated skills in managing people and projects.
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; communicates effectively with management, employees, and vendors.
* Proficient in MS Office and other required software tools
*Qualifications that can set you apart*
* Five plus years’ experience in a people manager role
* SHRM-CP/PHR Certification
* Construction Industry experience (preferred)
* Experience in working working with BambooHR/Ease (HRIS)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization skills.
