Precast/Structural Steel Foreman

PRIMARY SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Read blueprints and apply construction knowledge to build the project correctly.
* Work with the crew to erect the building, while concurrently supervising the work.
* Provide input for project pre-planning and follow field plans.
* Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
* Implement and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed to ensure that work performance is in compliance with OSHA standards * Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
* Maintain an accurate layout throughout the erection of a building.
* Plan for the efficient use of resources and allocate resources to allow flexibility if problems arise * Instruct and train field staff in the safe operation of construction equipment and tools, and also in job skills.
Provide work direction for, and promote teamwork amongst, the crew members * Prepare time sheets and administrative reports.
* Recommend purchase of tools, equipment and material.
* Represent the company on the job site and communicate effectively with the general contractor and sub-contractors * Equipment operating: Skidsteer, Arial Work Platform, fork lift (etc.
).
* Collaborate with the Engineering and Drafting departments to resolve problems as they arise on the job * Maintain good safety and security practices.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * *Minimum of 3 years on steel and/or precast construction experience*.

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE!*_ * Good reading, writing and math skills.
* An eye for precise detail.
* Experience with welding and familiarity with general construction practices * Working knowledge of safety requirements.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Able to plan work and anticipate project needs.
* Proven experience in motivating team members.
* Ability to lead by example.
* Able to use designated phone and computer applications daily.
* Valid driver’s license and safe driving record * Must be able to work out of town occasionally * Welding experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $32.
