Drywall Finisher

Hegg Modular is hiring a Drywall Finisher in Brandon, SD! We are looking for individuals that are excited about working as part of a team and collaborating with others.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced with drywalling and take pride in quality work.
This position will focus on mud, tape, and texture work.
Can have either commercial or residential construction background.
*Duties include but are not limited to:* * Installing the drywall on walls and ceilings, using fasteners such as nails or screws * Cutting the sheets to fit around pipes, vents, light fixtures, electrical boxes, and other obstacles in the wall * Measuring and cutting sheets of drywall to fit specific openings in walls or ceilings * Installing insulation between layers of drywall to reduce noise and heat loss * Draping plastic over floors and woodwork to protect them from damage during construction or repair * Applying joint compound to seams in drywall to smooth out seams and eliminate bumps or ridges in the surface * Applying texture to drywall using special tools to create different patterns, such as stippling or knocking down the surface * Installing drywall on ceilings using chains and lifts to hold it in place while it is screwed into place * Mending small holes or cracks in drywall using patching compounds or replacing entire sheets of drywall when necessary Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.
