The ideal candidate will be seeking a solid company where he/she can establish long-term employment that will offer growth and opportunity using your machining skills.
This position will be responsible for the processes to produce Pitot Tubes for the Aerospace Industry.
*Responsibilities*
* Set up, adjust and operate machine tools determining speeds & feeds with the ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments & accessories.
* Sequence automatic machine operations and define setup requirements, select cutting tools, and program proper feeds and speeds to successfully machine parts.
* Identify optimal manufacturing processes based on part configuration and batch size.
* Inspect work, making necessary notations on work routers.
* The nature of the work is a mix of small to medium quantity runs with frequent set-ups.
* Lead and operate processes applicable to Pitot Tube production.
*Desired Qualifications*
* Working knowledge of metal fabrication/forming practices and processes.
* Working knowledge of operating procedures for turning centers, drill/mill, and lathe.
* Ability to read and understand job specifications, shop drawings and blueprints.
* Ability to perform basic math computations associated with metal fabrication.
* Knowledge of properties of structural metal and related items.
* Mathematical aptitude
* Proficient in editing programs and adjusting offsets.
* Experience inspecting parts using various dimensional tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore scopes, test indicators and gauges.
* Ability to lead/supervise processes, workload, and on-time shipments.
