Weld Manager – Night Shift
Diamond Mowers is looking for someone to join our team as the Night Shift Weld Manager.
The Night Shift Manager will report to the Operations Manager.
We are looking for someone who can establish a clear vision for the department, and plan to achieve success.
Key Roles
Ensures all department employees stay on task and complete work on time.
Enforce all company policies and processes.
Cross trains employees to ensure flexibility within the department and coverage for absenteeism.
Provide growth opportunities for employees when possible.
Set daily and weekly goals for all individuals and determine root cause when those goals are not met.
Remove roadblocks that are preventing employees from hitting their goals.
Hold employees accountable to their goals and administer performance improvement tools as needed.
Ensure everyone is aware and follows all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE.
Actively and verbally promote a “Safety First” culture within the department.
Ensure the team is comfortable with bringing up safety issues and near misses so that they can be addressed.
Lead all safety investigations, near misses, and safety issues within your department and drive to find root cause and corrective actions that eliminate the possibility of incidents occurring.
Responsibilities
Understand the daily and weekly demands as laid out in the Master Production Schedule.
Utilize employees in department to efficiently meet the due dates as laid out in the Master Production Schedule.
Communicate all missing parts issues to the Operations Manager.
Communicate all engineering issues to the liaison engineer.
List all production issues (building issues, missing material, engineering issues, etc.

) on the GEMBA boards and lead daily GEMBA walk in your area.
Escalate any issues that need to be addressed that are hindering production from meeting its due dates.
Ensure product is being built defect free the first time, every time.
Participate in root cause investigation and corrective action creation for production defects found during quality walks to ensure the defects are not repeated.
Qualifications
3-5 years of heavy equipment or manufacturing experience
Warehouse experience preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.
Location and Hours:
Location: 1000 Cherokee St
Hours: 4:30-3:00am
Days of Shift: Monday-Thursday
