Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Architectural Drafter to join our team.
The Architectural Drafter is responsible for creating and developing house plans for primarily new construction, remodels, and additions for residential projects.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of architectural design principles, as well as extensive experience working with CAD software.
The Architectural Drafter will collaborate with customers, sales staff, project managers, architects, production staff and other stakeholders to ensure that designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities:
* Coordinate with customers and sales staff and gather necessary information to product architectural drawings for residential projects.
* Develop, draft and prepare drawings using CAD software for residential projects.
May assist with commercial and agricultural projects occasionally.
* *Provide support to the customer and sales staff by evaluating customer design requirements and communicating and resolving issues and concerns.
Coordinate with architects, general contractors, internal staff and customers as necessary for each stage of the project.

* *Develop design solutions, create drawings, submit bill of materials and source vendors for customer proposals.
Ensure design compliance with all required standards.
Perform and analyze industrial engineering time and activity studies.
Apply value added techniques to material handling and manufacturing processes.

* *Communicate job status with internal staff, general contractors and customers.
Ensure most current expectations are communicated effectively to all relevant individuals.
Perform some estimating functions related to the design and scope of assigned jobs.

* *May perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:*
*
* *- Proficiency in Revit, CAD, or AutoCAD preferred.
*

* *- Strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques.
*

* *- Knowledge of graphic design principles and 2D animation is a plus.

* *- Attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.

* *- Excellent problem-solving skills to address design challenges.
