Midtown Systems is seeking to hire a Lead HVAC Installer.
This Team Member will perform skilled work in the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems in both residential and light commercial settings.
In addition, this team member will oversee a team of 1 to 3 installers.
Responsibilities include:
* Install or replace forced air heating and air conditioning systems.
* Install or replace duct systems in new construction or remodeled buildings.
* Braze line sets to the equipment refrigerant source in order to form a complete circuit.
* Lay out and connect low voltage electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram, using electrician’s hand tools.
* Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers, using hand tools.
* Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
* Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
Requirements include:
* High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
* Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation to and from work.
* 3+ years HVAC experience required.
* Good Mechanical and Electrical diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work in confined spaces.
* Requires frequent bending, stooping and reaching from the floor level up to 10 feet
* Requires prolonged standing.
* Requires climbing ladders and stairs.
* Requires use of power tools.
* Reliable, hard-working, and a willingness to learn are a must.
Ability to:
Safely and effectively perform maintenance work and perform duties in all weather conditions; ability to bend, squat, crawl and twist as position requires; perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; diagnose defects and install, repair and maintain various trade items to include heating, ventilating, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and air conditioning; work from heights including ladders, scaffolds and lifts; use tools; read and follow instructions; communicate clearly and concisely; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; interpret policies and procedures; interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, laws and regulations.
