*Job Summary:* the Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant.
*Essential Job Functions:*
* Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods.
* Confers with planning and Project Engineers concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
* Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
* Comply with company safety standards and rules.
* Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and purchases equipment, materials or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
* Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
* Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
*Knowledge and Skills:*
* Permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions)
* Must be eligible to possess explosive under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for all employees of Tech Ord.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university with a mechanical or manufacturing focus preferred; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
* Implementation of procedures.
* Understanding of ISO requirements.
* Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
* Understanding of the basic concepts of control theory.
* Knowledge of MRP system and outputs
* Basic understanding of electronic components and the ability to read/understand schematics.
* Communicate and document effectively in English.
* Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
* Ability to work with peers and supervisor employees as needed.
* Ability to establish priorities and multi-task in support of end-result/goal.
* Excellent organization skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $61,000.
00 - $90,000.
