AmesburyTruth is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in Sioux Falls.
In this role you will be responsible for the management and implementation of continuous improvement programs and projects for the production and distribution operations at our Sioux Falls facility.
*Essential Duties/Responsibilities*
* Responsible for the management and implementation of continuous improvement, including policy deployment, workplace organization, autonomous maintenance, standard work, and daily management
* Develop and train personnel in the use of Value Stream Mapping with a focus on lead time and working capital reductions in all Value Streams.
* Manage, train and administer Continuous Improvement methods and culture throughout the organization
* Identify, conceptualize and design new processes and equipment, modify existing designs, and improve production techniques.
Work with all levels of plant personnel and within structural groups.
* Establish and maintain clear, visual project schedules and demonstration story boards; prepare/complete reports and presentations as required.
* Design, develop, and implement machine and/or tooling modifications as needed to meet or exceed company production targets.
*Qualifications / Prior Experience*
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment implementing CI initiatives.
* Yellow Belt certification preferred.
* Experience with Supply Chain/Logistics/Distribution Management Systems
* Experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
* Must have experience in distribution operations and continuous improvement application
* Proven Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
* CI Initiative implementation and sustainment experience required.
