Position Purpose
To provide engineering support to the manufacturing operation including assisting in developing solutions to modify the production process, cost estimating and establishing production standards.
The incumbent is challenged to implement a production and/or distribution project(s) as well as track sustainment metrics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluate and recommend solutions to assigned manufacturing and/or distribution problems so that problems are solved in the most effective and least costly way.
Aid in timely and accurate cost analysis and estimates.
Provide rework analysis of products so quality products are available for customers.
Provide support establishing manufacturing standards resulting in efficient production levels.
Other Duties as assigned.

Work Environment / Other Requirements
The work performed is conducted on site in a climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA limits.
Must be able to use normal office equipment (scanner, printer, copier, computer)
Must be able to talk/hear/sit for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to lift 25-50lbs occasionally
Ability to be trained on Powered Industrial Equipment
Must comply with PPE requirements
Qualifications / Prior Experience
Must have experience in CAD
Education: Working toward AS, BS, or MS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
Basic understanding of LEAN or Six Sigma preferred
Experience with complex multiple components assemblies a plus
