Assembler 2nd Shift

*Hours:* 2nd Shift: Mon-Thursday: 2:30pm- 1:00am.
Overtime as needed.
This position performs repetitive assembly in a production environment.
The parts produced in our facility include window balances, handle sets, and locks.
*Essential Duties / Responsibilities* * Understand and follow written, visual, and verbal instructions * Operate a computer to fulfill customer orders * Utilize machines and other equipment throughout the assembly process * Ability to lift and move 35 pounds * Perform assembly tasks while meeting production standards * Responsible for adhering to all safety rules and quality standards * Maintain a good attendance record * Cross train in other departments as necessary * Perform other duties as assigned *Knowledge / Skills / Abilities* * Ability to use a computer * Ability to communicate with others * Ability to find and correct safety hazards * Ability to alternate stand for 8-10 hour shift *Qualifications / Prior Experience* * Less than high school education * One month of job related experience preferred *Work Environment / Other Requirements* * The work performed is conducted in a climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA limits.
* Closed toed shoes and safety glasses are required in our production areas.
