QA Technician will assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Manager in ensuring compliance with all Manufacturing Quality and Food Safety Policies and Guidelines.
The Quality Assurance Technician will play a key role in our company’s commitment to the production of the highest quality safe foods.
The Quality Assurance Technician must be able to interact across interdepartmental boundaries in a professional, proactive manner, avoid conflicts, and exemplify a collaborative spirit.
General Duties: Learn about safe food handling practices, HACCP, and safety procedures along with all company policies.
Support management decisions, inspire positivity, and encourage a productive work environment.
Monitor existing product SKUs and directly recommend/lead development improvements with R&D.
Monitor the quality of incoming raw materials and finished products, including organoleptic evaluations.
Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Complete Pre-operational Inspections each morning and evening including swabs weekly.
Monitor general upkeep of the production area.
Monitor verifications for CCPs on the floor Perform Specification Testing on certain incoming raw materials as needed.
Monitor daily label checks, HACCP, operational, weekly thermometer checks, weekly temp tags, and Calibration requirements.
Work Environment: Production areas have moderate to loud noise levels.
Production areas are temperature controlled, which may include cold or hot environments.
You may be required to work overtime, which may include Saturdays or the possibility of working in another department as needed.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 6 months of quality or related experience preferred.
Proficient knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations, 3rd party audits, GMPs, SSPs, HACCP, BRC, and process control.
Intermediate level computer skills – excel, word, PowerPoint.
Verbal and written English communication skills.
Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures and policies as outlined by Monogram Foods.
Be knowledgeable of safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures in your department.
