Fabricator/Assembler

Fab Assemblers assist in the sub-assembly by preparing and putting parts together that are put on the trucks.
Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: • DA parts, removal of the sharp edges of parts/material • Drill and prepare the rub rails • Prep catwalks, steps, grab handles, etc.
• Prep ladder brackets, pike pole, and attic ladder • Prep hose bed floor dividers • Prep rear cab overlays • Prep start storage assemblies • Prep SCBA brackets • Meet production goals • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Initiate process improvements when able • Work in close proximity to customer, as needed • Operate any equipment or tools needed to perform the job • Assist other team members and departments as needed • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent experience • Ability to use basic hand and power tools • Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements • Ability to lift 75 pounds • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to maintain attendance within company guidelines • Ability to retain and apply instructions • Positive attitude • Work overtime on short notice • Embrace change • Basic computer skills • Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division • Must be detailed orientated • Ability to read and understand truck specification documents • Ability to communicate and understand in English • Must be self-motivated • Must be able to work with little to no supervision after two weeks Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.
