Stone Hill Excavation is hiring Farm drainage installation laborers to join our growing agriculture drainage team.
Stone Hill specializes in Agriculture Drainage, and adjacent markets such as, Water and Utility Underground Construction, Retention BMP’s, Terrace and Waterway, Demolition and Site Work, Residential and Commercial Development, Reconstruction, and more!
Construction Laborer Responsibilities Include:
Strong Communication
Adaptability
Arriving to work on-time as scheduled
Safety on all job sites
Safely use a folding knife and/or tile cutter to cut tile as instructed
Probing for tile and spotting the excavator operator
Bedding lateral connections by hand and/or with tile spade
Repairing damaged pipe in drainage systems
Using a grade stick to assist excavator operator in maintaining grade while digging mainline pipe
Greasing equipment at the end of every work day
Assisting all crew members with tasks as needed
Requirements:
Travel within a 4-hour radius of Sioux Falls, SD
Committed to working Saturdays and Sundays (7 days a week) during peak seasons of Spring and Fall
Able to commit to 5 overnight stays during the work week; 7 overnight stays during peak season ONLY if the project is under time constraints, and can be completed within a 7 day period
Long hours (up to 16 hours per day) will be required during our peak seasons of Spring and Fall
Ability to work in most weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, etc.
)
Ability to safely work in water and mud (job conditions are not always favorable)
Valid Driver’s License
Higher wage for Class A CDL
