Working Title Agricultural Foreman Posting Number CSA01977P Department SDSU-Ag Experiment Station-AES Physical Location of Position (City) Brookings Posting Text The Ag Experiment Station at South Dakota State University is currently seeking an Agricultural Foreman at the Ag Experiment Station’s Farm Department Facility.
Maintain the farm and help in producing feed for the animal units in this hands-on position.
Job Responsibilities: This position will assist with duties that will enable the farm to deliver its missions of teaching and research such as harvesting and delivering feedstuffs to animal units, maintenance of facilities, and overall appearance of the farm.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of: Operations and maintenance of farm equipment and facilities Data entry for inventory tracking purposes and budget analysis Computer software (Excel, Word, and Outlook) Training techniques Skill & Ability to: Operate tractors, skid loaders, and other farming equipment.
Communicate effectively.
Work in all weather conditions Required License: Valid driver’s license.
Commercial pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
