What you will be doing:
Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools
Loading and unloading of materials tools, and equipment
Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools
Perform building and construction work which includes, but is not limited to concrete, steel, wood, and finishes
Site cleanup duties
Follow all health and safety regulations and policies
Receive and carry out instructions

Work at heights exceeding 20 feet
Can travel within 75 miles of Brookings – no overnight travel
Work alone once instructions are given
Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
If you don’t feel qualified but are an eager individual willing to learn, we will train you.
Otherwise, this will get you jumpstarted:
Successful completion of technical college or apprenticeship program OR the equivalent on-the-job training and experience is preferred
OSHA 10 Certification is preferred but not required
You will need to:
Work harmoniously with others
Be able to lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
Be able to work in a variety of adverse weather conditions and elements
Be able to make repetitive movements with bending, twisting, and climbing
Have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
Be able to wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and any other safety related equipment

Short Job Description: The Building Crew Member will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks on the construction site including site preparation, use of hand and power tools, and clean-up of the job site.
Job Location: Brookings SD and the surrounding 75 mile radius
Compensation: $18 - $26 / hour
Work Schedule: Full-Time Monday through Friday approximately 7 AM to 3:30 PM
