JOB SUMMARY
Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket, forklift, medium duty type section truck, backhoe wheel loader, on and off-track excavator, double axel roto on track dump truck, ballast regulator (set up for snow removal) tie crane, ballast regulator track tamper tie inserter spiker and spike puller.
Will maintain right of way and build new railroad track.
Will lay out rail tie and other track materials.
Will do snow removal and clear vegetation.
Typical hours during Production are M-F 6am-5pm.
Maybe 1 Saturday per month.
Typical hours during Maintenance are M-F 7am-3pm.
No Saturdays.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Up to one month related experience or training.
- Must have a Class A CDL license or being able attend inhouse DOT training.
- Must be able to qualify as valid worker under FRA standards.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Must be able to obtain DOT medical card.
- Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation
compliance including attending training.
