*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Operates distributor safely to apply tack according to paving specifications.
* Prepares distributor and continuously monitors performance to achieve the required specifications for paving.
* Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
* Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that distributor is in safe, proper working order, including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
* Reports to shop when distributor needs maintenance and repair.
* Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
* Maintains orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at job site.
* Follows Supervisor’s instructions closely.
*Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* CDL A with tanker and hazmat endorsements
* Current DOT health card
* Understand the basics of distributor mechanicals.
* Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.
* Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.
* An unwavering focus on safety.
* MSHA | OSHA
* Willingness to travel throughout Central and Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Dakotas.
*Work Environment/Physical Demands:*
* Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
* Work outside in all weather conditions.
* Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Regularly work extended | overtime hours outdoors and in various weather conditions at all project locations.
*Travel is required.
