Job Summary- Mitchell, SD
A Safety Site Manager will develop safety plans and oversee day to day operations and compliance on the job site.
Wages: Based on experience Per diem: $125/ day
Job Duties
Develop emergency action plan
Develop and implement site specific safety plans
Perform equipment inspections
Inspects safety belts, ladders, ropes, tools and replaces those not meeting safety requirements
Observes crews at work and reports laxity in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, gloves and other safety devices
Investigates accidents to determine causes and devises preventative measures
May instruct works in the use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
Minimum Qualifications
Must present 30 hour OSHA Certificate
Must be able to read and interpret various local, state and national safety codes.
Evaluate information using measurable standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and people.
Physically must be able to climb, stoop, kneel and crouch.
Use hands and fingers fully, see well (naturally or with correction) and have good depth perception.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
