If you are ready for a change - check out this great opportunity!
Here's what you’ll get to do:
Assist design engineering by performing component research, participating in component selection, and evaluating component for life cycle considerations (supply chain risks, minimize cost, reduce lead-times, and deliver expected quality)
Collect, validate, and develop technical documentation/specifications on various component types such as passives, discrete semiconductors, IC’s, logic devices, memories, electrical connectors, PCBs, packaging, cases, etc.
Identify multiple sources for electrical components used in new designs to moderate line down and obsolescence issues that could otherwise force line stoppage or emergency PCBA redesigns.
Understanding of different compliance and safety requirements like RoHS, REACH, manufacturing safety data sheet (MSDS), etc.
Ensure compliance with all requirements (lead-free, safety, country of origins, etc.
)
Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production
Investigate and resolve component issues by working with suppliers, customers, and other engineers.
Working with cross functional teams such as procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering to (a.
) resolve issues with respect to component availability, quality, and reliability, and (b.
) support continuous improvement of existing products by identifying alternate parts & manufacturers with form, fit and function equivalent analysis on the above listed commodities, and (c.
) value engineering products to achieve cost reduction, lead-time reduction or quality improvements.
Interface with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of quality components.
Analyze and develop solutions to resolve all issues associated with obsolete components and supplies.
Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and technologies
This is what will get you noticed:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred
