The Electronic Component Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing electronic components for use in AV Pro products.

Here's what you’ll get to do:
Sourcing Components: Identify and evaluate suppliers and manufacturers of electronic components specific to AV Pro products.
Assess suppliers based on factors such as quality, pricing, lead times, and industry reputation.
Negotiating Deals: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure favorable terms for the organization.
Cost-effective procurement is critical to maintaining profitability.
Quality Control: Ensure that purchased electronic components meet the required quality standards and specifications for AV Pro products.
Implement quality control processes and inspections as necessary.
Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate levels of inventory to support the production and installation of AV Pro products.
Work closely with production and project management teams to align inventory levels with project timelines.
Cost Analysis: Continuously analyze costs associated with electronic components for AV Pro products.
Monitor price trends and fluctuations in the market, seeking cost-saving opportunities.
Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
Effective communication and collaboration with suppliers are vital for smooth procurement processes.
Lead Time Management: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components to meet production and project deadlines.
Risk Assessment: Evaluate and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supply disruptions, quality issues, or market fluctuations that may impact AV Pro product availability.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of purchases, agreements, and supplier information in compliance with company policies.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including industry standards specific to AV Pro products.
Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in the audio-visual distribution sector to make informed procurement decisions.
Cost Reduction Strategies: Proactively identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs, optimize component selection, and improve supply chain efficiency.
This is what will get you noticed:
Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field such as: supply chain management, business administration, electronic engineering, electrical engineering, materials management, procurement and logistics, industrial engineering.
Training in industry specific MRP/ERP software, such as supply chain management software or procurement tools.
Working experience with NetSuite a plus.
2- 5 years of relevant experience in a procurement or supply chain role, with a specific focus on electronic components and AV distribution products.
Experience with electronic components, their specifications, and their applications in AV systems.
This knowledge is crucial for making informed procurement decisions.
Strong experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts is highly valuable.
Effective communication and collaboration with suppliers are critical for successful procurement.
