A company in the greater Sioux Falls area is looking for a Superintendent / Production Manager to join their team.
This individual is responsible for all on-site construction, field service, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed.
The environment is an on site controlled environment where manufacturing of Multi Family, Residential, and other projects are being built by the unit.
This person is responsible for ensuring that projects are on schedule and within budget.
This position will be assisting in scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Functions include site preparation, bidding, and construction, establishing and maintaining costs and budgets, supervision of each job.
Monitor the total production process including continual monitoring of the total product flow, equipment, process methodology
Train employees
Write and develop standard operating procedures
Lead operational processes, projects and priorities focused on daily manufacturing.
Maintain manufacturing compliance with safety and regulatory requirements as directed by the Environmental, Health & Safety department.
Direct the layout of equipment, workflow, process methods and work force utilization as needed.
Deliver against plant performance KPIs, budget and projects
Be responsible for understanding related aspects of production schedule and coordinating manufacturing requirements with schedulers and attend daily production meetings.
Review and approve hourly timecards for payroll processing.
Use your leadership ability to build, lead, mentor, develop, and grow highly functioning teams
Qualifications
5-10 years' production experience and high school diploma/GED
3+ years managing or supervising teams of people in a high-volume production or construction environment
Experience supporting process development
Experience with equipment maintenance
Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 6-Sigma principles
Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
Familiar with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
