The Manufacturing Technician will apply various technologies to test and modify manufacturing machinery and equipment.
*Essential Functions:*
* Ensures quality and consistency in production processes by assessing, modifying, and/or calibrating equipment.
* Ensures efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment.
* Studies blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed.
* Observes each machine to verify quality performance.
* Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to make adjustments.
* Gathers and arranges materials.
* Performs fabrication duties required for new equipment installations, jigs, racking, dies, cart, material handling and other requirements as they are needed.
* Assists engineers with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and/or procedures.
* Assists and works with drafting and engineering for proper drawings and documentation on equipment installs and company equipment records.
* Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
* Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

*Essential Qualifications:*
* Associate’s degree or postsecondary certificate in related discipline required
* At least two years of related experience required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, and management.
* Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
* Certified to operate forklifts and other equipment.
* At least two years of welding experience.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
*Work Environment:*
* Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
* Must be able to work outside in both a hot and cold environment.
* Prolonged periods standing and walking.
* Adhere to Maguire Iron’s PPE Policy and Safety Programs.
* Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
* Ability to work with ladders, catwalks and in confined spaces.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
* Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
