The incumbent will act as the ground level supervisor for the Sioux Falls Foss Field complex, BG Dean Mann Readiness Center, and UTES complex, as well as scheduling seasonal workers to accomplish pavement and ground clearance across the east side of the state.
Position will actively assist and manage the state procurement process for the Sioux Falls Foss Field complex, BG Dean Mann Readiness Center and UTES complex.
This position will work four 10-hour days, 6:30 a.
m.
to 5 p.
m.
, Tuesday through Friday.
Work schedule may vary due to emergency situations.
This individual will be required to travel in support of SD Army National Guard facilities throughout the State.
The individual selected will undergo a National Security Check to obtain a Common Access Card for access to state and federal computer systems.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
The ideal candidate will be a licensed electrician or plumber, or has received technical vocational training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, automated building energy management systems, or finish carpentry with supervisory work experience.
Knowledge of:
state building codes;
OSHA regulations;
appropriate installation and repair techniques;
electrical and mechanical engineering and design;
tools and equipment associated with the tasks of the position;
proficient in Microsoft office products.
Ability to:
communicate information clearly and concisely;
follow oral and written instructions;
deal tactfully with others;
complete delegated tasks in a timely manor;
read and understand blueprints;
interpret technical specifications and regulations;
operate required tools and equipment;
operate computers;
lift 50 pounds or more;
work from ladders, scaffolding, or in confined areas.
