Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Construction Administrator will be responsible for the coordination and administration of all projects of the Bureau of Indian Education projects at Haskell Indian Nations University and Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute.
This is a remote position preferably candidates residing in the following states: Arizona, New Mexico, South Dakota, North Dakota, Oklahoma or Minnesota for an occasional onsite visit.
Our salary range for this position is based on the market data, $80k to $100k per annum (range varies depending on experience and qualifications).
Key responsibilities:
Work with various functional groups such as IT, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical personnel for proper work coordination
Conduct pre-construction conferences and serve as a technical resource to the client
Provide meeting agenda and minutes, and cost data for all real property construction
Act as the liaison between the contractor and the client regarding Requests for Information (RFI), drawings, data, and submittals
Recommend corrective actions, when needed
Review pay applications and documents and suggest recommendations
Report weekly updates during weekly meetings
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited college or university
At least 5 years of construction engineering or construction management experience
Experienced in developing and maintaining complex construction management activities including submittal and processing of Request for Information
Knowledgeable in construction scheduling methods and familiar with the use of Primavera P3/P6, RS Means/CostWorks, and Microsoft Projects
Experienced in Federal building design criteria and construction guide specifications
Completed OSHA 30 training within the past 2 years
Physically able to walk over rough, uneven, slippery surfaces, lift heavy loads and climb ladders
Highly knowledgeable in engineering principles, concepts, and practices
Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills
With a valid driver’s license
