JOB DESCRIPTION* *POSITION TITLE*: Construction Assistant Superintendent for Multi-Family *SUPERVISED BY:* Superintendent \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ *POSITION PURPOSE:* As a Construction Assistant Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for assisting the Lead Superintendent in the completion of the Multi-Family projects around the Sioux Falls area.
*PRIMARY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Monitor construction progress and work quality, ensuring all tasks are completed under project specifications and in compliance with local building codes.
* Scheduling, coordinating, and communicating with subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.
* Effectively communicate project status with the lead superintendent and project manager.
* Assist in managing the construction schedule, identifying potential delays, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
* Complete general construction touch-up items.
* Keep the job site clean and orderly.
* Read building plans.
* Work in construction management software to maintain proper documentation.
*EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE:* * Two years of experience in the construction-building industry * Knowledge of primary hand tool use and general construction skills * Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
* Self-motivated with excellent time management skills * High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent * Must have a valid driver's license.
