*Responsibilities:*
* Installs electrical system components as assigned (e.
g.
panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, etc.
) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded system capabilities.
* Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm and/or other related electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
* Coordinates with assigned Project Manager and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
* Diagnoses causes of electrical problems or failures in assigned systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair.
* Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and building regulations.
* Inspects electrical / fire alarm / security systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs, and recommending preventive maintenance.
*Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:*
* 2-year degree resulting in an Associate’s or technical degree in electronics or related field
* 1-2 years working in electronics, basic electric circuit troubleshooting (working knowledge of Ohms law)
* Use of an Electronic (FLUKE) multi-meter to find open circuits, short circuits and ground faulted circuits in networking or other field wiring.
* Electronics and troubleshooting skills required.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Must be able to climb ladders and carry a backpack of 50+ pounds unassisted.
* Individual must be able to pass a background check.
* Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.
* Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Unites States

*Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:*
* Technical degree in Fire Science preferred.
* NICET Certification
* FASA BASA
* 2-5 years of experience as a technician supporting Fire solutions projects
* Past field experience working in a solutions or construction base business desired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.
00 - $32.
00 per hour
