Midtown Systems is seeking an Apprentice Plumber to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in residential and commercial installations, repair, and maintenance.
The right individual has worked in the plumbing industry and should be comfortable working with a team, as well as managing their own time effectively.
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Installing new plumbing systems, drainage systems, and gas lines
* Maintaining and repairing existing ones.
* Knowledge and understanding of pipes, fittings, and all manner of plumbing fixtures, from toilets to washing machines.
* Understanding and following blueprints or building plans.
* Following current rules and regulations related to plumbing to ensure that systems pass inspection.
* Responding to plumbing emergencies, determining the issue, and making a repair
* Performing maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies.
*Position Requirements:*
* Minimum of 2 years of plumbing experience (new construction preferred)
* High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
* Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation to and from work.
* 2+ years of plumbing experience (new construction preferred).
*Ability to:*
Safely and effectively perform maintenance work and perform duties in all weather conditions; ability to bend, squat, crawl, and twist as position requires; read and follow instructions; communicate clearly and concisely; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; interpret policies and procedures; interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, laws and regulations.
